Inviting Users

Add new users to your Containment.AI organization to extend AI governance coverage.

Invitation Methods​

Individual Invitations​

Send invitations one at a time:

  1. Go to Clients page
  2. Click Invite Client
  3. Enter the user's work email
  4. Click Send Invitation

The user receives an email with:

  • Welcome message
  • Extension installation link
  • Organization connection instructions

Bulk CSV Upload​

Invite multiple users at once:

  1. Click Invite Client > Bulk Upload
  2. Download the CSV template
  3. Fill in user details: 
    email,name,team
    john@company.com,John Smith,Engineering
    jane@company.com,Jane Doe,Marketing
  4. Upload the completed CSV
  5. Review and confirm invitations
  6. Emails sent to all users

MDM Auto-Enrollment​

For enterprise deployments:

  1. Push extension via MDM
  2. Configure organization ID
  3. Users auto-enroll on first sign-in
  4. No individual invitations needed

Invitation Status​

Track invitation progress:

Resending Invitations​

If a user didn't receive or lost the invitation:

  1. Find the user in Clients list
  2. Click their row to open details
  3. Click Resend Invitation
  4. New email sent with fresh link

Invitation Expiration​

Invitations expire after 7 days. Expired invitations:

  • No longer allow signup
  • User shows as "Pending (Expired)"
  • Can be resent to generate new link

Bulk Actions​

Select Multiple Users​

  1. Check boxes next to users
  2. Or use "Select All" for current page

Available Actions​

  • Resend Invitations - For pending users
  • Remove - Cancel pending invitations
  • Export - Download user list

User Requirements​

For successful enrollment, users need:

Technical Requirements​

  • Google Chrome browser
  • Permission to install extensions
  • Internet access

Account Requirements​

  • Work email matching your domain
  • Ability to receive emails

Troubleshooting​

Email Not Received​

  1. Check spam/junk folder
  2. Verify email address is correct
  3. Confirm email domain matches organization
  4. Try resending invitation

Extension Won't Install​

  1. Check browser compatibility (Chrome required)
  2. Verify extension permissions are allowed
  3. Ensure not blocked by corporate policy
  4. Try incognito mode to test

Can't Complete Setup​

  1. Verify organization allows signups
  2. Check email domain is approved
  3. Contact admin for assistance

Team Assignment​

When inviting users, optionally assign teams:

  1. In the invite form, select Team
  2. Choose existing team or create new
  3. User inherits team policies and settings

Monitoring Enrollment​

Track adoption from the dashboard:

Enrollment Metrics​

  • Invitations sent vs completed
  • Average time to enrollment
  • Incomplete enrollments

Following Up​

  • Export pending invitations
  • Send reminder emails
  • Escalate to managers if needed

Best Practices​

Timing​

  • Send invitations at start of workday
  • Avoid Fridays and holidays
  • Follow up within 3 days

Communication​

  • Announce Containment.AI before inviting
  • Explain why it's being deployed
  • Provide support contact

Batching​

  • Don't overwhelm support with too many at once
  • Stagger large rollouts over days
  • Have support ready for questions
