Dashboard Overview
The Containment.AI dashboard is your central hub for monitoring AI governance across your organization. This guide explains the main sections and how to use them effectively.
Main Dashboard
When you log in, you'll see the Overview page with key metrics and activity.
Stats Cards
The top of the dashboard shows critical metrics:

| Total Alerts | Policy violations detected in the selected period |
| Active Users | Users with the extension installed and active |
| Policies Enabled | Number of active guardrail policies |
| Events Today | Total interactions monitored today |
Activity Feed
The activity feed shows recent events:
- Policy violations and resolutions
- New user onboarding
- Configuration changes
- System notifications
Quick Actions
Common tasks accessible from the overview:
- View all alerts
- Invite new users
- Configure policies
- Access settings
Navigation Sidebar
The left sidebar provides access to all dashboard sections:

Top Bar
The top bar contains:
Command Palette
Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) to open the command palette. Search across:
- Alerts by ID or content
- Policies by name
- Audit events
- Quick navigation to any page
Notifications
The bell icon shows unread notifications:
- Trial expiring - Trial period ending soon
- Feature rollout - New features available
- Admin invite accepted/expired - Invitation status changes
- End user registered - New users joined
- System alerts - System health notifications
- Policy triggered - High-severity policy events
Click to see the notification list. Mark as read or clear notifications from the dropdown.
User Menu
Your profile area is at the bottom of the sidebar:
- Account settings
- Organization switcher (if you belong to multiple orgs)
- Theme toggle
- Sign out
Organization Switcher
If you're an admin of multiple organizations:
- Click your profile area at the bottom of the sidebar
- Select from the dropdown list
- The dashboard switches to that organization's data
Onboarding Checklist
New organizations see a setup checklist:
- Complete organization setup
- Install Chrome extension
- Configure policies
- Invite team members
- Review first alerts
Complete all items to dismiss the checklist.
Dashboard Widgets
Alert Summary
Breakdown of alerts by:
- Severity (Critical, High, Medium, Low)
- Status (New, Acknowledged, Resolved)
- Time period (Today, Week, Month)
Policy Performance
See which policies are:
- Triggering most frequently
- Blocking vs. detecting
- Needing adjustment
Usage Trends
Graphs showing:
- AI platform usage over time
- Alert trends
- User adoption rates
Customization
Time Period Selection
Most widgets support time filtering:
- Last 24 hours
- Last 7 days
- Last 30 days
- Custom range
Data Export
Export dashboard data:
- Click the export icon on any widget
- Choose format (CSV, JSON, PDF)
- Download or schedule regular exports
Mobile View
The dashboard is responsive:
- Sidebar collapses to hamburger menu
- Cards stack vertically
- Full functionality maintained

Loading States
You'll see loading indicators when:
- Data is being fetched
- Large exports are processing
- Real-time updates are syncing
