Dashboard Overview

The Containment.AI dashboard is your central hub for monitoring AI governance across your organization. This guide explains the main sections and how to use them.

Main Dashboard​

When you sign in you land on the Overview page.

Stat Cards​

Four cards summarize your current posture:

Open alerts / Total alertsOutstanding alerts, with a Triage now action; shows total alerts when nothing is open
Active policiesEnabled policy count, with "N of M enabled" underneath
ExtensionsExtension coverage, with "Installed on N devices" or "Not installed yet"
Blocked todaySubmissions blocked today, or "No blocks today"

Charts​

Two charts sit below the cards:

  • Alerts trend — alert volume over the selected window
  • Policy coverage — how your enabled policies distribute across categories

What Changed?​

An activity feed headed What changed? lists recent governance events, with a View all activity link through to the Activity page.

Get Started Checklist​

New organizations see a Get started card whose items tick themselves from live data:

  • Set up your organization
  • Install the browser extension
  • Enable your first policy
  • Generate a test alert

Progress reads "N of M tasks completed", and the card can be dismissed once your organization is active. Before activation, the overview also offers See it live — explore the demo environment for a read-only preview with sample data.

There is no separate Alert Summary, Policy Performance, or Usage Trends widget, and no per-widget time-period selector or export control. The two charts above are the overview's reporting surface.

The left sidebar provides access to all dashboard sections. See Navigation for the full list and shortcuts.

Top Bar​

Command Palette​

Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) to open the command palette, which searches across:

  • Alerts
  • Policies
  • Recent activity (audit events)
  • Help articles
  • Go to (navigation)
  • Quick actions

Notifications​

The bell icon shows unread notifications, with the count capped at "99+". Notification types include:

  • Trial expiring
  • Feature rollout
  • Admin invite accepted / Admin invite expired
  • End user registered
  • System alert
  • Policy triggered

Mark as read or clear notifications from the dropdown.

Notifications are generated for account and lifecycle events (invitations, trials, subscriptions, permissions). Policy-violation and system-alert notifications are declared but not currently produced — monitor the Alerts page for policy activity.

Theme​

A light/dark theme toggle sits in the top bar.

Organization Switcher​

Your profile area at the bottom of the sidebar holds account links and an Organizations section. If you administer more than one organization:

  1. Click your profile area at the bottom of the sidebar
  2. Select an organization from the list
  3. The dashboard switches to that organization's data

You can also switch from Settings > Organizations.

Data Freshness​

Parts of the dashboard update themselves without a refresh — the What changed? feed and the policy-derived surfaces (Active policies, Policy coverage) subscribe to live changes.

The alert and extension surfaces — Open alerts, Blocked today, Extensions, and the Alerts trend chart — do not self-update. Reload the page to refresh them.

Mobile View​

The dashboard is responsive: the sidebar collapses to a menu, and cards stack vertically.
