Learn how to navigate the Containment.AI dashboard efficiently to find what you need.
Sidebar Navigation
The sidebar is your primary navigation tool, located on the left side of the screen.
Main Sections

Collapsing the Sidebar
- Click the collapse button to minimize the sidebar to icons only
- Hover over icons to see labels
- Click again to expand
Top Navigation
Search Bar
The search bar lets you find anything quickly:
What you can search:
- Alerts by ID or content
- Clients by name or email
- Policies by name
- Audit events by action
Search tips:
- Use quotes for exact phrases:
"credit card" - Filter by type:
type:alert blocked - Search by date:
after:2024-01-01
Notifications
The bell icon shows unread notifications:
- Red badge: New critical alerts
- Yellow badge: Pending actions
- Click to see notification list
- Mark as read or dismiss
User Menu
Click your avatar to access:
- Profile - Personal settings
- Organization - Switch organizations
- Theme - Light/Dark mode
- Sign Out - End your session
Page Structure
Most pages follow this structure:
Page Header
- Title and description
- Action buttons (Add, Export, etc.)
- Filter controls
Content Area
- Data tables or cards
- Charts and visualizations
- Interactive elements
Detail Panels
- Click items to open detail drawers
- Side panels slide in from the right
- Close with X or click outside
Filtering and Sorting
Table Filters
Most tables support filtering:
- Click the filter icon
- Select filter criteria
- Apply filters
- Clear with "Reset" button
Common Filter Options

Sorting
Click column headers to sort:
- First click: Ascending
- Second click: Descending
- Third click: Clear sort
Breadcrumbs
Breadcrumbs show your location:
Dashboard > Alerts > Alert #12345
Click any level to navigate back.

Modals appear centered for:

Drawers slide from the right for:

- Related information

Pagination
Large data sets are paginated:
Page Controls
- Previous/Next - Navigate pages
- Page numbers - Jump to specific page
- Items per page - 10, 25, 50, 100
Infinite Scroll
Some lists use infinite scroll:
- Scroll down to load more
- Loading indicator shows progress
