Users
Users are the end users in your organization who interact with AI platforms. The Users page lets you manage users, invite new members, and monitor AI usage.
What is a User?
A user is anyone in your organization using AI tools that are monitored by Containment.AI:
- Employees interacting with AI tools
- Contractors with the extension installed
- Any person protected by your policies
Users Page
Navigate to Users in the sidebar. The page header reads "Manage users who access AI via the Chrome extension. View LLM usage, alerts, and devices." The table is under the User directory heading, with a subline counting active, pending, and inactive users.
User List

The Services and Usage columns are wired to a per-user LLM-usage source that is not yet populated, so they currently render "No activity" and 0 for every user. Per-user usage reporting is roadmap work; device counts, alert counts, and last-active times are live.
Search and Filters
- A search box — Search by name or email (plain substring match)
- One Status dropdown: All / Active / Pending / Inactive
- A Clear filters link below the table
The list is paginated client-side at 25 users per page.
User Details
Click a user to open the detail drawer. It is a single view (no tabs) with:
- Quick stats — Devices, Requests, Alerts
- AI services used — shown when per-user service data is available (see the note above)
- Details — Source, Invited, Activated, Last active
- Registered devices — the user's device rows
- Actions — see below
User Status
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Active | The user account is enabled |
| Inactive | The user has been suspended |
Pending appears in the status filter and the directory counts, but the users table derives status from whether the account is enabled, so an invited-not-yet-joined user is not shown as Pending in the list today. Track outstanding invitations under Settings > Members, which lists pending invitations directly. There is no "Suspended" status label — a suspended user shows as Inactive.

Per-User Metrics
- Devices - Registered device count
- Alerts - Policy violations attributed to the user
- Last active - Most recent activity timestamp
- Invited / Activated - Invitation and activation timestamps
Directory Counts
The User directory subline shows how many users are active, pending, and inactive.
User Actions
Available from the row action menu and the detail drawer:
- View details - Open the detail drawer
- View alerts - Jump to alerts for this user (shown when the user has alerts)
- Suspend / Reactivate - Disable or re-enable the user account
- Resend invite - Listed for pending users
Resend invite on the Users page (row menu, bulk bar, and drawer) is not yet wired up, and Remove user in the drawer is disabled. To re-send or revoke an invitation today, use Settings > Members, which has working Retry email and Revoke actions. Bulk selection supports Clear, Resend invite, and Suspend; there is no bulk remove and no user-list export.
