Local / Offline Pipelines

Enterprise
note

Offline Pipelines are a roadmap capability delivered as a custom engagement, not a self-serve GA feature. The extension's managed-storage schema declares proxyUrl and authPageUrl override keys for exactly this use case (pointing the policy-check endpoint at your own infrastructure), but current released extension versions do not yet read managed storage — the endpoints are fixed at build time — so on-premise and sovereign-cloud routing is design intent, not a shipped capability. Fully air-gapped, hosted deployment is designed to map to data-residency and sovereignty requirements and is scoped per engagement. Contact your account manager to confirm what is available for your environment.

Deploy Containment.AI guardrail evaluation capabilities toward air-gapped, on-premise, and regulated environments where cloud connectivity is restricted.

Overview

Offline Pipelines are designed to enable organizations to:

  • Mirror guardrail evaluations into air-gapped systems
  • Run policy enforcement locally without cloud connectivity
  • Support data residency and sovereignty objectives
  • Deploy in regulated environments

Use Cases

Air-Gapped Environments

  • Government and defense organizations
  • Classified networks
  • Environments with no internet access

On-Premise Deployment

  • Data centers with strict egress policies
  • Regulated industries requiring data locality
  • Organizations with custom infrastructure requirements

Hybrid Deployments

  • Combine cloud and on-premise enforcement
  • Sync policies from cloud to local systems
  • Aggregate audit data when connectivity is available

Configuration

Setup

The Local / Offline Pipelines card in Settings > Integrations routes to a sales conversation — there is no self-serve pipeline configuration. Setup happens through the engagement process below.

Requirements

  • Enterprise plan
  • Dedicated infrastructure for local deployment
  • Technical contact for implementation support

Getting Started

Offline Pipelines require custom implementation with your infrastructure team. Contact your Containment.AI account manager or sales team to begin:

  1. Requirements gathering - Discuss your environment and constraints
  2. Architecture review - Design the deployment topology
  3. Implementation - Deploy and configure the pipeline
  4. Testing - Verify policy enforcement in your environment
  5. Production - Go live with monitoring
